How to enable sync for standard Google Accounts

As a standard Google Account user, take a moment to follow these one-time steps to link the two systems.

As a Google Apps user, we’ve already these steps up for you. Simply refer to our Google Synchronization walkthrough to activate your preferences.

Enable Gmail messages

As the Solve admin, enable the Webmail add-on for your team by clicking Solve menu (top-right) > Add-ons > Webmail > Add.

Then each Solve user authroizes Solve to access their Google Account by clicking Solve menu > Access Webmail > Settings > Receiving and Sending > Google as the service type. There they click the grant “permission” option > follow the Google prompts > return to Solve and click “verify”.

Confirm the IMAP feature is enabled in their Google account under: Gmail > Settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP > IMAP Access > Enable IMAP

Enable Google Contacts

As the Solve admin, enable the Google Contact sync add-on for your team by clicking Solve menu (top-right) > Add-ons > Google Contact Sync > Add.

Each Solve user then authorizes Solve to access their Google Account by clicking Solve menu > Manage Contacts > Show All Contacts > Data > Synchronize contacts with Google. There they click the grant “permission” option > follow the Google prompts > return to Solve and click “verify”.

Enable Google Calendar & Tasks

As the Solve admin, enable the Google Calendar & Task sync add-on for your team by clicking Solve menu (top-right) > Add-ons > Google Calendar & Task Sync > Add.

Each user then authorizes Solve to access their Google Account by clicking Solve menu > Report & Update Activities > Show calendar events with > Data > Synchronize events and tasks with Google. There they click the grant “permission” option > follow the Google prompts > return to Solve and click “verify”.

Once the specified sync feature(s) are enabled and access to Google granted simply refer to our Google Synchronization walkthrough to activate specific user preferences.
